About
Nestled in the stunning Coachella Valley of La Quinta, California, the La Quinta International Film Festival (LQIFF) is a vibrant celebration of independent and international cinema.
The La Quinta International Film Festival (LQIFF) is a new festival celebrating the art of independent and international cinema. We provide a platform for emerging talent and established filmmakers alike, both here in La Quinta, the Coachella Valley, and internationally. We aim to illuminate the cinematic landscape, ensuring that every story has the opportunity to find its audience and that every artist has the chance to receive recognition for their unique vision.
Our Story
The genesis of LQIFF was rooted in a singular vision by the founders, and that was to create a Shangri-La of a sanctuary where independent cinema could breathe and flourish.
We define our journey by a dedication to excellence, uniting the community, established filmmakers, score composers, and emerging talents to celebrate the power of the moving image in beautiful La Quinta.
We curate four award-film festival sessions and foster a vibrant community annual gala event that prioritizes storytelling above all else.
OUR MISSION is to honor the timeless artistry of filmmaking here in the community and internationally, opening the door on a global scale while simultaneously paving the way for the classics of tomorrow.
